Special services are available to students through state and local funding. The Essex County Educational Services Commission has been designated to provide these services.
Special services include:
Compensatory Education and Title I – Remedial instruction in reading, math, language and speech.
Supplemental Instruction – Assistance for students with classified learning disabilities.
Speech Evaluation and Therapy – Identification and remediation of expressive and receptive language deficiencies, articulation errors, voice fluency and auditory disorders.
Evaluation and Classification by a Child Study Team
A full-time reading specialist is included as part of the staff to assist with the remediation of students classified with an Individual Service Plan.
