Emergency Information
In the event of a school closing (weather-related issues) the Honeywell Instant Alert System will be utilized. Contact will be made on the communicators that you indicated on your personal page.
In the event that Honeywell experiences a problem, there are other ways to receive communication. The school closing will be reported via email, and will be on the home page of our website. In addition, if you call the school (973) 762-5169, you will receive a message advising you that the school is closed. These are the ways to keep informed if there is a weather emergency.
The Honeywell System will also be utilized for important announcements, reminders, and schedules.
Our Lady of Sorrows School practices drills for safety at least twice per month. These include fire drills, evacuation drills and lockdown drills.
In addition, Nurse Sharon Reynolds is the full time nurse personnel for our school. If there is a medical emergency, Nurse Sharon will call the parent to arrange for pick-up if necessary.
